where would we be?

there is a calm before the storm and then unruly gusts of change.
eventually, the storm subsides leaving debris that shift from odd to ordinary.
and the cycle can be so strange and so straining...
but where would we be without the repeating rhythm of restless rain?
without the growing life?

(a quick but big question from me to you, dear reader).

with love.

I was going to sound mean and reply with "Rachael Maddox is madly in love with metaphors, and always will be, like ... something." but then I realized that using like ruins the metaphor, and everyone loves metaphors and smilies. It's how we think about everything, be it the mundane or the grandiose. It's why great stories work, because we can say "Wow, that's like this struggle in my life." It's a lot easier to draw comparisons between something we understand (a story, a storm, etc) and something we don't (our lives) than it is to draw abstract principles (change is necessary for a good, learning life) from our experiences and gain understanding that way.

I don't get the question.
